SlimPay brings direct debit to the next level with a checkout feature to frictionlessly onboard customers for subscription and maximize their lifetime value

SlimPay appoints former BlaBlaCar Head of Product Thomas Sales as Vice President Product and Experience

SlimPay, the European leader of subscription payment via direct debit, unveils “Checkout”, its new feature putting payment at the heart of user experience thanks to a specifically designed flow to convert prospects into lifetime customers

Checkout – Frictionless direct debit onboarding for customers and maximum lifetime value

Not all prospects are converted into loyal customers; one of the possible causes could be the payment funnel that has to offer frictionless onboarding of customers with maximized lifetime value.

With SlimPay’s Direct Debit Checkout, merchants will be able to:

  • Assign a level of risk to each potential customer
  • Adapt the authentication process to the risk associated with each customer’s profile
  • Integrate a modern and customizable check out design, with no third party feeling, in order to convert

The Checkout is easy to integrate via a great REST API for all coding languages. It lets you interact directly with SlimPay’s platforms from anything that can send an HTTP request. Plus, thanks to the iframe, you can easily embed in any checkout experience on web and mobile.

Strengthening the product to match SlimPay’s global acceleration

During the past 12 months, SlimPay has experienced a rapid acceleration in terms of growth and customers, and is now able to take subscription and recurring payments to the next stage.

The announcement of Checkout is coupled with the arrival of Thomas Sales as SlimPay’s Vice President Product and Experience. Thomas brings a wealth of experience to the company, having worked for companies on both sides of the Atlantic. He worked as Head of Product for 3 years at BlaBlaCar, the global ride-sharing leader headquartered in Paris; before launching his own company in San Francisco.

“I am excited to join the fast growing fintech SlimPay. My ambition here is to build a global SaaS company with one state-of-the-art product that will meet the needs of the majority of today’s consumers, who are increasingly attracted to subscription based consumption,” explains Thomas Sales.

“Thomas is a true entrepreneur and will bring his customer centric conception of business to SlimPay. I am thrilled to welcome him onboard,” states Jérôme Traisnel, SlimPay CEO.
