Last week our CEO, Jerome Traisnel was in the Silicon Valley to finalise a partnership with American subscription billing giant Zuora, and to announce the official opening of our new office in San Francisco. Keep reading to find out more about the reasons behind our American adventures!

Zuora’s solution allows any business in any industry to launch or change products to subscription, implement new pay-as-you-go pricing and packaging models, and gain new insights into subscriber behaviour. The aim of the collaboration between SlimPay and Zuora is to complete the functional scope of Zuora’s subscription platform by integrating SlimPay’s innovate payment management services.

Combining technical expertise

Integrating SlimPay into Zuora’s platform will complete the subscription management value chain: creating a consistent and efficient journey from purchase and subscription management to payment. The partnership will at first benefit both companies’ mutual customers: “Zuora’s customers will benefit from a transparent and efficient payment solution, while SlimPay’s customers will benefit from Zuora’s subscription management tools.stated Jerome Traisnel, SlimPay’s CEO and co-founder.

Technical integration is already underway and the solution will be operational by this summer – watch this space!

Fifth international office

We are also happy to announce the opening of our fifth international office! Following London, Berlin, Amsterdam and Madrid, we are continuing our international expansion on the other side of the pond, with the opening of a first office in San Francisco!

Opening an office in San Francisco was a logical decision for SlimPay, the major players in subscription economy are all based there: Dropbox, Evernote, etc. We are here to inform these businesses that in Europe, Europeans have different payment preferences with regards to the method and the security, and that there are technologies, like ours, that are designed to simplify the management of recurring payments.

A recent study conducted by SlimPay and InnoPay discovered that European consumers perceive direct debit as the most secure way to pay subscriptions. Indeed SlimPay’s knowledge of the Europe’s subscription and payment landscape, in addition to its innovate payment management tools should be a real asset to American businesses targeting Europe.

Our partnership with Zuora and physical presence in the USA should strengthen our position within the subscription economy ecosystem – a very important market in our opinion!
